Lisbon love for South Africa's 2010 efforts
Thursday 15 January 2009
FIFA.com

This article talks about how Portugal a very weel known team that plays good soccer is trying to make it to qualify to the World Cup. Lisbon the coach is trying to get his team shaped up to qualify because they are down points to qualify. There star player Chrstiano Ronaldo is trying do his best to keep their team from losing a game.

I think that Portugal will make it to the world cup because they are a challenging team. Also if they keep trying they would make it.

Bankruptcy system takes on the mortgage mess By Mike Stuckey 5:49 a.m. MT, Wed., Jan. 14, 2009

This story is about how the # of Americas’ home foreclosures are going up, and how its not that hard to keep up with your payments.

I think it’s not so much paying it as much as it is getting the money to pay for it, I am sure everyone would pay off their house if they had the money to do it.

"President Obama: Choose hope over fear"
The first black president today, declaring the nation must choose "hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord" to overcome the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. With 11 million Americans out of work and trillions of dollars lost in the stock market's tumble, Obama emphasized that his biggest challenge is to repair the tattered economy left behind by outgoing President George W. Bush. He said starting today we must pick ourselves up and start remaking America. Obama is giving hope to us and is confident that our economic problems will soon fade away. He spoke of a "new era of responsibility" which means alluded to the inability — or unwillingness — of Americans to adjust to the passing of an industrial-based economy. He also said we need to prepare for the new age. I think he wants America to start from scratch. He will save us from our troubling times we are facing today

Donovan's confidence boosted by Beckham, Jan. 23, 2009.
http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=612203&cc=5901

Landon Donovan moved to German champiolns on loans from the Major League Soccer side. Donovan doesn't want to go back to the L.A. Galaxy soccer team. Donovan was unsuccessful with Bayer Leverkusen and Beckham has been lifting him up and giving the confidence to keep going.

I think that David Beckham is such a well known soccer player and is really good, so by him giving Donovan tips and lifting him up is pretty big coming from him. It shows that Beckham cares about his teammates.

Say it Right, Say it Bright

the tyra banks show

The season thats about bright, bold statement makeup. This is about when to go bold, when to be casual, and if the colors are just right. She tells when to be bold you can go out to a place like the club and look good in bright colors that goes with you. And to not wear those colors if you go to an job interview. If the colors are just rigth mix it up some more bright colors and look bold, bright, and sexy!

I think it is a season to be blod with your bright eyeshadow and it is a way to express yourself, to just mix up colors. I think its a good catch ladies!!

Foreclosures soar 81% in 2008, Reuters.com, Jan. 15, 2009

Many people across the U.S. have their homes in foreclosure. They are at record high. Some states passed a law last year stating that they had to send a notice to someone whose house was going into foreclosure, 30 days before. This law has had no effect.

I am not sure what can be done to help people with their homes. So many people have lost their jobs and don't even have enough money to pay their mortgages. I hope after Obama becomes President that he can find a way to help all these poeple.

In the article “2 held in Pueblo armored car heist” by the Denver post. Two Pueblo men have been arrested for allegedly attempting to rob a Brinks armored truck in Pueblo this morning. Juan Rodriquez and Anthony Sena were taken into custody by Pueblo Police after being chased by the Brinks guard and police. Rodriquez and Sena allegedly stole a money bag from the Brinks guard after they doused him with pepper spray as he exited the Safeway. The guard chased the suspects on foot until a second struggle in the Rent a Center lot on North Elizabeth Street. One suspect fled, but the guard was able to hold on to the other until police arrived. The second suspect was arrested by police at a nearby golf course. I think they should be put in jail. They have no right to steal other people’s money it’s just wrong.

This week by CBS news Toyota is reporting a big loss this week. They lost 1.8 million dollers from last qworter. Even though they lost 1.8 million it only seem like a little loss to them. But they are worried qworter is not going to end very good.
